Is this a fully functioning dive computer or just a bottom timer?

The whole beauty of this unit is that the user decide what that will be. Briefly saying you buy for example basic unit loaded with bottom timer software and later you can upgrade (purchasing and uploading into the unit) software that will change it to Nitrox or full Trimix computer.

Nitrox computer will allow gases / mixes up to 100% of O2 with decompression mode using high O2 mixes. Trimix will allow multiple / user adjustable decompression algorithms to be used.

Nitrox up to three gases.
Bottom timer / nitrox will be released at the same time and full trimix version will come this summer.

Full trimix version will be available this summer, cost still not 100% confirmed but somewhere around $850

will there be software available for upload to Mac? PC ? Cost on that?

Any pics/ details on the cover for the USB connector? That seems to be the weak spot on some of the rechargeable units like this, going to be a lot of access to it for recharge and uploads.

I think I have very exciting update that there are additional cool features added to computer software like:
- notes, user can download to computer text notes and read them like notepad useful ? some will use a lot some not ... its there
- maps files can be downloaded and viewed

there is more to it coming ...

What a bunch of "pre-release" hype. Has anyone noticed that everything they are talking about as "super-new & exciting" is already available in other brands? Also, this is taking more time to get to release than a new Microsoft operating system. So far almost four months of hype and no product. LOL.
