I just got off the phone with the people up at Leo Carrillo. This is definitely their slow season. They say that there should be no problem getting our campsites together when we check it, but that we need to reserve them anyway. They simply have rule that you have to have no more that 8 people to a campsite. So if we cross the line to more than 16 people we would simply have 3 sites. When we arrive, we should just let them know that we want to be together and how close to the restrooms and showers we want to be.

On that note, they told me that the showers are coin operated and cost 50 cents for 5 minutes. So, be sure to bring plenty of quarters.

We can just get 3 regular campsites and won't need to get a more expensive group site. Each site has about a 3 foot Fire Ring and a Picnic Table. Half of the Fire Ring has a grate on it that you can BBQ hot dogs and burgers on. Sounds like Match Light would work really well here. I was also told that many people just bring their own BBQ grills.

I'm actually thinking of spending the night on Friday as well if anyone is interested.

It's going to be COOOOOOLD!!!!!

Be prepared!!

People with fillings should not decide to sleep over, they may just rattle out...........

I am tentatively planning on attending on Sunday...need to meet some more divers.

What is schedule for Sunday? Similar to Saturday?

Hope you can make it!

Schedules on Saturday and Sunday are loosely the same. I say loosely because once things get rolling they take on a life of their own.

Ok this is how the camp site kind of works...

You reserve by phone or internet...You are reserving a spot...You do not actaully reserve a particular place that is done when you get there you look for open spots ( i am sure there will be some next to each other)

I am going to camp sat and sun . I just remembered that i have no school on monday so i will stay sunday night too

I am reserving my spot tomorrow

Are you doing a Sunday night dive? Todd and I have our Rescue class Sat. and Sun. Maybe we can crash the party after class.

That is of course if I ever make it out of Hawaii!!! Hoping for a return on Monday the 13th.

We really need for more people to start "signing up" to bring different items on the list or I'll have to assign the rest of the items over the weekend like we did for the last couple of times.

It always seems to work out, but I prefer not having to "pass out assignments".

Also, let try to get the list finalized for those spending the night, so we know how many camp sites we need. Not that I think they're going to "sell out" or anything. :11:

Thanks.

Hi Christian,
I'll bring brownies for dessert on Sunday!
Thanks for the nudge-nudge reminder ;-)
