Mr/Ms Camel, if you were asking about Leo Carillo the beach, here's some info I got by putting "leo carillo beach" into Google:

http://www.geocities.com/sandeaters/sites/sp.htm
http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=616

If you were asking about Leo Carillo the person, he was a 1940's actor, who played the sidekick Pancho in the 1950 TV series "Cisco Kid". He also appeared in many films, such the well known hit "The Gay Amigo" in 1949. Photo attached. I believe he's the one on the left.

Here's some biographical info:

Here's some Leo Carillo, Sequit Point site info for Mr./Ms. Camel:
Got it by putting "leo carillo beach" into google.
It is a male camel, sir.
And thanks for the info.

Me,Tina and my 3 kids will be there for Saturday and Sunday and I will bring the hot dogs and buns again. I will also bring some firewood.

Please add to the list a stove and tea pot for making hot chocolete and instant coffee.

Also for the bbq charcoal I really like the Match light brand since it was easy to start and was ready to cook on real quick so if you pick the charcoal that brand would be preferred Thanks!

Hell, if Roger is going to be doing the cooking again I'll definitely be there. That was GOOOODDDD !!! Myrna and the two kids will also be there.

Ok, so it is about time for the camel to venture down to the ocean front. I am planning to go on Sat and highly possible on Sun. Will bring two camp stoves, two full butane tanks and two sets of cooking pans. Each tank should last for about 3 hours. The gears are for backpacking so don't expect to put a full size pan on and boil your lobsters. Anybody knows about the camp sites? i.e. cost, temperature condition and facilities.

Also, maybe someone can bring a gas light for afterdark events.

Believe it or not, I did actually camp there once! There are communal restrooms & shower facilities at the campsites. At the beach, there is at least one real restroom and port-a-potties. The fee info should be on the State website.

I am playing this one by ear. Saturday AM may be possible, but I'll be on weather watch.

Ok...i will reserve a group campsite if you guys want that way we can split the cost and all camp out together. We can park cars at the camp site so we can carpool to the dive site in order to save money on the parking fees.
If enough people are interested I will reserve the spot...I checked to see if the group camp site was available and it still is.

Like debbie said the campsite has bathroom facilities including showers. I have camped here a few times and enjoy it. I have never been to the group camp site but it should be fine as well.

I won't be able to make it for Saturday  , but I will try for Sunday. I'll know better as we get closer. Some of the other San Diego trouble makers and I :wolfgang: are scheduled to be on the Panga that Saturday. I really don't want to miss one of the World Famous Wrinkles dives though, so I'll see what I can work out.

This sounds great!

I've added a new section to the original post to get an accurate head count for people spending the night at the campground. This will help Ana in reserving the site.

I've already included the names of people who I think are spending the night based on a post I think I saw or conversation I think I heard.

If I've got your name in that section and should not have it there, let me know. If I've not included your name there and I should have, let me know. If I got it right, please confirm that for me.

Thanks.

Christian

Ana, you've got your kelps mixed up!! I've never set foot on an LA County beach with the exception of Catalina Island. I HOPE to rectify that very soon...

Kelpmermaid would be the one to know LA accommodations. Not me!
