This one was actually brand new and arrived DOA. The replacement doesn't have the LOW BAT TEMP error so fingers crossed. Getting two DOA ones would be unprecedented I think. My primary has been to Divetronix once for a battery drain issue and has been solid since then (knock on wood).
My Teric #6 also had a unique defect when new. It would flash, like the flashlight function, every time it turned off. Just a brief whole screen flash, and then off. I had no idea if this would affect the function of the computer but knew it was not normal. I contacted my friends at Dive-Tronix and they had never seen this. They contacted Shearwater and were advised to initiate replacement. They didn't know if Shearwater had ever seen this before.

I have forgotten, I intended to contact Dive-Tronix and Shearwater to see if they learned anything. I will do that today

Even though I've not bought one (I currently own a Perdix AI, Perdix 2 and Peregrine), I think the Teric is a slick looking computer with some nice functionality that my existing computers do not have. I would consider buying one at some point once I feel the battery issue has been fully resolved.
We have a fix for that....

Teric Store, need anything?
What? You mean you don't bring all your chargers with you on every trip for redundancy? Also, depending on your girth, you might not be too far off from fashioning a Shearwater belt out of all those straps. If you are flexible enough a third waist mounted backup computer might actually not be a bad idea. That way even if you get both arms bitten off by sharks on the same dive you can still pivot at the waist and quickly check how much deco you have left to do.

This thread continues to chug along after 3 1/4 years. Nearly 25,000 views and 163 votes in the poll. About 45% of respondents have not required repair or replacement. On the other end of the spectrum, about 22% have required multiple repairs and/or replacements.

Battery problems have easily been the most commonly encountered issues but a wide variety of other problems have also been reported
The number of new respondents to the poll has decreased significantly, I hope that reflects resolution or near resolution of all of these issues.

I've had my Teric #7 for a couple of months now. The battery has gone down a little less than 0.3% per day. Now, I just need to get back in the water and dive it after resolving a couple of medical issues.
