My Teric #6 also had a unique defect when new. It would flash, like the flashlight function, every time it turned off. Just a brief whole screen flash, and then off. I had no idea if this would affect the function of the computer but knew it was not normal. I contacted my friends at Dive-Tronix and they had never seen this. They contacted Shearwater and were advised to initiate replacement. They didn't know if Shearwater had ever seen this before. This one was actually brand new and arrived DOA. The replacement doesn't have the LOW BAT TEMP error so fingers crossed. Getting two DOA ones would be unprecedented I think. My primary has been to Divetronix once for a battery drain issue and has been solid since then (knock on wood).
I have forgotten, I intended to contact Dive-Tronix and Shearwater to see if they learned anything. I will do that today
