Todd and I had a phenomenally fun shallow dive at Point Lobos today!
Arriving at the gate only 15 minutes before opening, we found only 4 other divers waiting. Though it was raining, there was no wind to speak of with a pretty flat ocean. Even Monastery was divable!
Getting into the water off the ramp, I could clearly see the bottom 10 feet down!! Hadn't seen this kind of viz in the cove for quite some time. We stayed the entire time inside the cove and had 30-50 feet of viz!! I got to know Middle Reef a lot better and went over into the "Pit" and then explored Coal Chute Caverns. That was quite a treat.
Here's the video of this dive:

Coal Chute Caverns, The Pit looking into Whaler's Cove, and Middle Reef:
Viz: 40-50', 50 degrees, 141 minutes, max depth 71 feet
