FYI: A wave feels bottom at about 1/2 its wavelength. So, if the crest to crest distance is 100 feet the wave will reach to about 50 feet deep.That long interval makes the surge reach deep.

How do you film while scootering, do you hold your camera in your left hand?
I've thought about taking my camera with dual strobes and my scooter, but I haven't tried it yet. Heh!
Having a camera mount MADE? Sheesh, 10 minutes at West Marine (for some BIG SS hose clamps),
10 minutes at Keeble and Shuchat or San Jose Camera (for a cheap ball head), and 30 minutes
in the garage.
