Yes, they have 2 rinse tanks, 1 for cameras and 1 for wetsuits. I use them at the end of every dive. That’s the nice thing about liveaboard. They replace the water everyday.

They even have compressed air nozzle to blow dry the camera buttons after you rinse it so you don’t need towel to dry out your camera case when you need to open the camera case to change battery or to download your pictures to your laptop before the next dive.

I don’t bring hangers. They have hangers in dive deck. I dried my BCD on the chair on the sun deck on the last day. During the diving days, your BCD will be strapped on the tank and stored on your station in dive deck.

So get ready for the ultimate diving vacation of diving, eating, sleeping & repeat

I learnt the difference between whitetip reef shark and silvertip shark when I was in Socorro.

These sharks in the picture below are whitetip reef sharks. Like nurse shark, they are nocturnal fish and often found lying on the bottom sleeping during the day.

This shark in the picture below, is a silvertip shark. It has to keep swimming to breathe.

On the last dive safety stop I saw this Silky shark hanging around under the ship.

Together with schooling of black jack and bigeye trevally.

I guess whitetip sharks don't eat Baja lobsters

Of the live-aboards doing the Socorros, did you pick Nautilus Undersea for any particular reasons over competitors, or was it convenient for scheduling (e.g.: had an opening when you could go)?

I think there are a number of reputable boats plying those waters; if I were aiming for a trip there, not sure where I'd start trying to pick one.

Dan- I forgot to ask if you were diving Nitrox? It is our plan to do so, and were wondering if there were analyzers on board for use, or do we have to bring our own?

Richard - I can certainly vouch for the Nautilus as a reputable operation, as we did the Guadalupe Shark trip with them, and were completely happy with all aspects of the trip. We also got a 10% discount for being a return customer.

Nitrox is a must for this multi dives / day & multi days diving trips for maximizing the bottom time & safety. They have 2 O2 analyzers. No need to bring yours.
