PZ560 (PZZ560 also works) is an area forecast ("PIGEON POINT TO POINT PINOS TO 20 NM"), not
a buoy. Buoys don't tell you what's going to happen, just what is (or rather was a few minutes ago)
happening. The archive of their data will tell what happened during the past.

Stuff happens on the web. If you care about that forecast, there are at least two URLs that will
get you to it:

A. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/getcwfzone.php?sid=MTR&zone=PZ560
B. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/getcwfzone.php?sid=MTR&zone=PZZ560
C. NDBC - NWS Forecast

I suspect that B. is an alias/symlink/whatever of A, or vice versa. If one's busted, the other's
busted. I keep A and C in my favorites.

URLs for forecasts that don't go to noaa.gov aren't the orignal source, and so are delayed, and
subject to more problems.

I've heard that those zinc based meds do well to keep stave of a pending cold. I don't buy into it myself, but if you're willing to try...

I can tell you when we had an outbreak at camp our PA handed out Zinc lozenges, airborne, and cough drops like candy. think what you might but I believe the zinc and airborne helped me stay at work instead of those that had to be sent home. give it a try.

probobly won't get you diving this weekend tho. sorry.

Probably just coincidence, but about 3-4 days after my roommate took airborne for the first time, she got sick.

She's never used it again.

Its not a miracle cure for sure. Just a collection of vitamins with zinc. I have heard too much zinc isn't good either. the instructions say use 2-3 times daily, and if your already sick 4 times. Since I fly alot and live and work in close quarters with a lot of other people I try to keep my immune system up to par because a simple cold can spread like wildfire in that environment and negatively affect my paycheck if you know what I mean.

That time I felt cold symptoms so I used the zinc lozenges a lot, and airborne 3-4 times a day. got over it in 3-4 days. my co worker got diagnosed with the flue and was sent home for 3 days. did it help I don't know but I'd like to believe it did.

Well, here it is...
I've come down with a nasty cold, which surely won't let me dive by Saturday. So, there's two spots available to the person with the best essay on "Why I should buy Devin a new set of tanks".

HA! kidding! :rofl3:

But really, PM me if you want my reservation. I was really looking forward to meeting you all, but I'm sure there'll be a next time.

This is a limited time offer, so CALL NOW!

Days Events

Diving: Park opens at 9 AM. Lets plan to be there around that time. First dive entry at about 10:30 AM. Doc Wong wants to get an underwater photo with everyone in it so we'll try to do that on the first dive. Doc Wong will be leading the first time, but the site will be dependant upon the weather, conditions, and the skill level of the divers involved. So, a site determination will be made that morning.

NOTE: Conditions have been updated and are better than they have been listing over this week, so we are likely to be able to dive. HOWEVER, if we aren't, there are a number of us that might go for a hike. If you want to hike, make sure you have the appropriate footwear. :)

Lunch: Please bring your own. There are no lunch facilities @ Lobos. There is a water fountain at the restrooms, but you might be advised to bring your own water too.

Post Dive Dinner @ Gianni's: For those hungry diversafter the day's events, we'll be meeting at Gianni's Pizza at around 4 PM to 4:30PM.
(725 Lighthouse Avenue, Monterey: gianni's loc: Monterey, CA - Google Maps).

Night Dive: There is talk of a night dive, possibly at Monastery. See: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/norcal/223382-march-15th-after-lobos-night-dive.html Make sure you have all necessary lights and tank markers. Also, you might wish to have a camplight to get dressed by. I know some are not interested in diving Monastery at night, so talk amongst yourselves. :D

If anyone needs my cellphone number, send me a private message today. Otherwise, I am looking forward to seeing you all down there.

With the current forecast we plan to be at Lobos Saturday. We are going to pack the Prius tonight and check the forecast tomorrow morning. After diving we will head home...night diving is out along with Sunday due to some rather large swells.

This is totally off-topic, but Airborne has p***d me off ever since it came out. Designed by a school teacher? Protects you from colds? God, what a crock.

A couple of weeks ago, they settled a big class action suit for false advertising, and you can get a full refund of purchase price if you have your receipts. Some details here: Airborne® Settlement

Good riddance.
