That's brutal! The drive back to Sac is sooo boring.
Especially the I-5 portion. At least the 152 portion you have to be alert enough not to drive off the side of the mountain.

Funny you mention that. Friends and I have discussed a private pilots license, and rental Cessna for this exact purpose. Once you factor in, transportation to / from the airport on both ends, fuel costs, rental costs, and flight times; your trip is more expensive, and the net time you save is under an hour.
