Best ways to get started in Southcentral, Mississippi

Deep South Scuba is the one in Jackson, they're SSI and carry mostly Scubapro gear. Chris and his wife Carla are two of the instructors and you can't get any better people. They do their Ow in B'ham.

Get a Marine Park permit, rental truck and tanks downtown?

Wannadive has a shop next to City Cafe but I don't know about a truck rental for only one day.

Best time of year for diving Bonaire????

I enjoy going in August, less people on the island and I had the best vis ever on one trip. I tend to skip the holiday weeks because it can get a little crowed down there but I've really never have had a bad trip.

Do I need my own O2 analyzer at Buddy Dive?

They have one on the dock and by their drive through and you almost never have to wait to use it. Do you have room in your bags for me? Enjoy Bonaire!

Newbies need Bonaire weather and accomodation info

With what you're asking for, I would choose Buddy Dive but they aren't the cheapest on the island. I only shore dive so I can't say anything about their boats but they do have a great house reef. Bob

    Bonaire: When to go?

I've stayed on Bonaire in January, March, May, June, July and August with August being my favorite so far. The vis was 100 plus feet and the Island was not as crowded as the more popular months. I really couldn't tell much difference in the temps from my other trips because we were diving so...

    Diving in Bonaire

The Caribe Inn is on the water and on the south end of town, easy walking to shopping and resturants. The rooms start at $109.00 plus tax. The golden Reef Inn is on the north side of town but not on the water. I think that they're having discount rates this summer. Buddys Dive Resort is on...

    Where to stay in Bonaire

I would look at the Caribe Inn. It has a small pool and a beach area. It's also close to town so that your kids could walk to the shops and resturants if they didn't want to dive. I've never stayed there but I visit them often when I'm in Bonaire and Bruce and his wife are wonderful people.

Bonaire in 13 days and another question

In a place like Bonaire where I'm doing shore and boat dives, I tip the DMs and the maids seperatly from the group tip that I leave at the resort for everyone else. The last three trips that I've been to Buddys I've had the same maids and they remember me well and I've never had anything missing...

I did my OW in Roatan with my LDS at the CoCoview and loved it. Take a pic of the Prince Albert for me.
