I have a few Wetwear suits and I can atest to thier warmth factor. Are you sure they were telling you to get a 3mm Jumpsuit instead of a 7mm Jumpsuit? When I ordered my first suit and wanted a 7mm, Wetwear suggested that I do a two piece jumpsuit with short sleeve shorty over top. I have a...
You should check out Wetwear suits. They are made to your measurements and they are not as expensive as you think. They also advise layering. I have a 3mm full suit with a 3mm shorty shorty I wear on top for extra warmth. It is the best piece I gear I own!
If you are looking for a suit for tech diving than you need to worry about compression factors. Wetwear uses nitrogen composed neoprene, which helps the suit keep its thickness. You should read their website, it has a lot of good information on it about materials.
I also agree with Wetwear being a great suit. Their attention to detail is great. I do not think they are as expensive as posted above, not when you compare them to any top of the line wetsuit. I had a Henderson before my Wetwear suit that cost me $450.00. It had no zippers or extra features...
Check out Wetwear. They specialize in making wetsuits for larger size people. The owner himself is at least 300 plus pounds. They also have two different types of material, one is cheaper than the other, so you can get a custom wetsuit and pick which type of material you want.
As far as...
Since you are diving so much you should look into Wetwear. They make suits out of Nitrogen neoprene and they are very reasonably priced. Their suits last forever and with the nitrogen neoprene they don't compress at depth.
I would go with layering. I Dive with a 3mm Wetwear full suit (I have their good material that is nitrogen composed) the full suit has seals and long arm and leg zippers. I wear this in the summer and through the fall. When the water temps start to drop, I put a short sleeve shorty on top...
Wetwear makes all black wetsuits with no logos at all except on the inside. They ship all over the world and take orders over the internet. Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities
This show is great! I have been many times. It is great for not yet divers through expert divers! It is also a great time to see products and make purchases....there is always great show specials. I will be there again this year!
Here is the temperature guide from wetwear's website. These temperatures are for suits made with their nitrogen neoprene though..... not a regular wetsuit. The material and compression factors make a big difference in warmth. I crack up at the people I see wearing a 7 mm full suit in 70...
If you are looking for warmth, ease of getting in and out of it and quality, you should look into Wetwear. Their EZ on Atlantis is awesome. It has zippers from the wrist up to the Bicep and from the ankle up to the top of the thigh. They also use nitrogen neoprene which is top of the line stuff.
Surf suits are made with a different type of neoprene that does not withstand the compression of diving. When a suit compresses you loose warmth. A good diving suit should have a nitrogen cell structure (not air) which keeps the suit from compressing at depth. Here is a link to a great video...
Blue Sparkle.... I have to agree with Valhalla. If you are looking for quality you should check out Wetwear. There website is a bit out data but their product is the best. As far as I am concerned they have excellent customer service, as they have bent over backwards to accommodate me several...
My wetwear suit is the best suit I have ever owned. The materials they use plus the fit is far superior to any. Their suits are made in the USA (a big plus these days) and the workmanship is excellent. The suits are also very reasonably priced. If you call them ask for Kristi or Connie, they...
For a 7mm made in the nitrogen composed material youre looking around $400. That is custom to your measurements. They do have a cheaper material also. I think a 5mm is around $350. If youre interested you should go to their website Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene...
My Custom Wetwear suit has by far been the warmest suit I have ever worn. I bought it from them at BTS about 7-8 years ago. They are in Florida and they shipped the suit to me. They use a nitrogen composed material, so i was able to dive in a 5mm jumpsuit with a 5 mm shorty over top and stay...
Wetwear isn't local but they make children’s wetsuits that grow with your child. They made my grandson high waisted pants and a beaver tail jacket. The pants go up to their chest so as they grow taller the pants just move down their body. The beaver tail jacket is made to their lower...
If you want to stay warm you need a custom suit and Nitrogen composed neoprene. Check out Wetwear. You may even be able to wear a 5mm because their suits are much warmer than your average suit. Welcome to Wetwear - Custom Wet Suits of Rubatex Neoprene for Scuba Diving and All Water Activities.
You should look into different types of material also. There is more to a wetsuit than just thickness. You would be amazed at how much warmer you will be in a suit made with Rubatex material than your average wetsuit material.
I would go with a 7mm full suit to wear in the summer. Then in...
