Here's the look of a dive boat owner who's about to get paid. Thanks for everything Kev! You're doing an awesome operation out of Boynton Beach.

And here's the look of a Meg diver on the Tony, it was great having you man, thanks for coming!

Is that Richard (a.k.a., PacketSniffer) from Houston in the Meg? If so, that means he dove with you guys in Boynton on Saturday, in Pompano Beach with us on Scubatyme on Sunday afternoon, and it's my understanding he's headed for Key West today for a week long livaboard in Dry Tortugas!

That's the way to do it Richard - Live it up man!

Lucky bastard!!!

Hey... Happy Father's Day.
We only had one trip on Sunday, so we went north and did Casino and the Horseshoe. The seas were flat and warm (82º) but the viz wasn't so hot, still about 35 to 40'.

The current was slight to moderate north on Casino. I was surprised not to have fond anything big lounging around in the rubble part of the reef. There are usually big rays, nurse sharks and turtles all over the place here. We did find a young Goliath grouper under a ledge, and though I didn't see it, one of the divers found a giant turtle.

The Goliath was getting cleaned under the ledge by neon gobies.

Next, we did the horseshoe. The current had picked up a bit up here, and was moderate to strong. It was better in some areas than others. Anyway, we found a nice big loggerhead swimming, and one sleeping too. We also found a nice sized nurse shark who was sleeping when I found her. She left her hole though and snuck back up behind me in a secret crevice, trying to ambush me I think.

This loggerhead snoozed away behind me as I crept into the big crack at horse shoe to take pictures of the nurse shark. Even though there was a fair amount of commotion, he never woke up.

This is the nurse shark, ready to pounce from her secret tunnel. I was checking out the spot that she had vacated when she heard me coming. When I turned around I spotted her giant noggin. Her nictating membrane is closed... was she ready to attack? I think she just wanted her spot back.

You are a very lucky girl - Onespeed wasn't there to see you get seasick. I can only imagine how that would have gone for you. :rofl2:

Oh Momma!

We had awesome dives today. The seas were flat the viz was booming and the stormy weather stayed away (for the most part). We did Gulfstream and a Gazebo/Castle combo on the morning trip, and then Tongue of the Reef and The Jump in the afternoon. Viz varied between 60 and 100+ depending on the clouds. The current in the morning was trickling north, in the afternoon it was trickling south. Water temps were generally 82-ish, however, there were a few patches of colder water in the afternoon. I do believe it was the beginning of an upwelling.

Bry shows off the good water on Gulfstream. While the water was clear, I tried to get some shots that show what the reef is like, in case people haven't been there yet.

Fullboat.jpg

I don't know how we managed to pull off a full boat on a Tuesday morning. It was supposed to be stormy, but the weather turned out to be gorgeous!

Castle Ledge goes out with a bang as a mini-wall right before Lynn's starts.

CastleTurtle.jpg

We found a great big loggerhead up on top of the reef at the very beginning of Lynn's.

TongueTurtle.jpg

On Tongue of the Reef, we found a small loggerhead sleeping with his head in a hole. Near the end of this dive it got very dark and started pouring down rain. We could hear it quite loudly even at 60'.

Wow, those are some more nice shots

Was Tasdiver hurling again?? :D

Nope . . . feelin' fit as a fiddle all day :D Was a great morning for a dive, weather was beautiful vis was stellar!! Was great to see BlueDiver (Bill) again and meet DiverBry  Looking foward to diving with you guys again.

Met a really nice local couple, Valerie and Dave, they had never heard of Scubaboard  Can you believe it ???!!!

Brian, the only difference from the dive on Saturday and the dive on Tuesday was that you weren't there :rofl3: :joke: We missed you!!
