Not to hijack the thread, but we have very good success with good old Avon Skin so Soft.

Avon’s product with Picaridin is effective. Their “good old” product is completely useless.

I stayed at Barefoot a few years back.
No bugs.
They rake the sand daily and have a built in sprinkler system that sprays some type of insecticide.

@1tree2hug how was your room? We were there in 2022 and thinking about returning. I loved the resort and dive shop overall. Our room, which was 4, had a spectacular view but no hot water 4 days out of 7. Maybe the people in the room attached to ours beat us to the hot water, I don’t know. Also the a/c wasn’t working, they fixed it, it worked for a couple of days, then went out again.

Where you assigned a dive locker on the day of arrival or did they make you wait until the morning of your first dives? I like to go ahead and take all my gear to the lockers the afternoon before diving. We were told they’ll didn’t know which boat we’d be on yet. There was a group of 30. I don’t know why they and the leader of the group of 30 couldn’t figure up how to split their group up ahead of time.

Do you know if DM Dubin/Duvin is still there? Eddie was great too but I really like Dubin.
