I don't recall a downward current, I do remember on the second dive, the boat man or DM or who ever (hell blame it on me) kinda missed the drop off point, so it turned into a 'Navy Seal style' swim like hell, using the compass and hope we find the wall fast, kinda dive. I would have been lost without the DM. I would do it again using EANx, I went into a short deco mode as others got to stay down longer!

There is a down current in one place.....down really deep though. It's below the wall as you approach the main lookout point where everyone stops and hangs on. If the current is really strong it splits around that rock...part goes down and part goes a bit up....but only for a little ways before you get pushed up the coral slope just down the wall.
I"ve been there a few times when the current kicked into high from....medium, within seconds. Like someone turned an electric fan up to 3 from 1 or 2.
