I'm planning a Cebu itinerary for October. I want to visit Moalboal, Oslob and Malaspacua. Below is what I have so far based on the information I collected.

Day 1: Arrive at Cebu airport at 9:20am. Go to south bus terminal and take the bus to Moalboal.
Day 2: Dive sardine run and pescador island. Will make an inquiry to Nelson's recommended elsewhere on this forum. Depart for Oslob in the afternoon.
Day 3: Dive whale sharks spot in the morning. Which diveshops are recommended there? Also any safety tips because the whale sharks are such huge creatures? Return to Cebu city in the afternoon. Stay near North bus terminal.
Day 4: Take early morning bus to maya port and then ferry to arrive at Malapascua island.
Day 5-7: Dive Malapascua. I'm mostly interested in large creatures, so besides thresher sharks which other sites do you recommend? Will make an inquiry to Evolution recommended elsewhere on this forum.
Day 8: Take early morning ferry to maya port and then bus back to Cebu city. Departure flight at 5pm.

I'm most worried about transportation delays because if I can't make it to the next town on time it will severly impact the arrangement for the next day and cost diving time. But I learned that however slow they are all buses in Cebu run 24/7 so I think I'm good.

Let me know if you have any suggestions and tips. Huge thanks in advance!

We did something sort of similar but we did a private transfer which ensured a lot less wasted time. Are your flights booked and are you willing to do a private transfer for around USD 100? IMO, fly to Dumaguete instead as October is octopus mating season in Dauin and Apo Island is right there. Finish your second day of diving in Dauin/Apo, take the ferry to Cebu Island, and get a ride to Oslob, stay the night, dive with the whale sharks as early as possible, dive Moalboal and Pescador then continue to Maya, stay the night and take the ferry in the morning

I live in Cebu. I think the itinerary is very packed but realistic. I agree with the suggestion to leave Malapascua in the afternoon of day 7.

You can also look at Amigos Dive Center in Moalboal. I can definitely recommend Evolution in Malapascua. MTD Diveshop is another alternative.

What third location would you add for a 2 week trip?

Probably Bohol (Alona beach for Balicasag Island) or Dumaguete (Dauin and Apo island).

In two weeks, you could even do: Moalboal, Dauin, Siquijor, Bohol and back to Cebu. There are ferries connecting all of these. (Plus Malapascua)

By the way, sardines can often be seen in Maribago on Mactan nowadays. There are several dive shops at Club Kon Tiki, e.g. Dive Cebu and SiDive. The advantage of Mactan is that it's very close to the airport.

There are also boat trips in that area. There is damage from Typhoon Odette. Maybe it's not the best diving but it's ok and might be interesting to those who don't have the time to travel to all the different destinations in and near Cebu.

There's also Marigondon cave which is quite nice. (Maribago and Marigondon are next to each other.)

Southern Leyte.
Only a handful few operators.
The daily fast ferry from Cebu to Maasin has cut the travelling time considerably.

Nov to May is the whaleshark season. NO feeding and snorkelling only unless you are extremely lucky while diving.
Need to book ahead.

Is the fast ferry the 6hr ferry?

Moalboal I second the recommendation with Savedra.

If timing is an issue, try to book a private car to take you from Moalboal to Oslob, do the whale shark snorkel, then to Maya. Probably cost 8000 pesos but it'll be worth the time.
