Give yourself plenty of time to travel from Cebu City to the airport.
Your flight is scheduled to depart at 17:00 so if you are staying in the City instead of Mactan Island, give yourself at least 2hrs to make the trip. Fare is around P300.00 depending on the traffic.
BTW, food is expensive both inside or outside of the terminal. Drinking water is free though.

A bit far to reach from Asia, maybe one day.
These sharks look quite big and nimble and aggressive. I don't want to get too close.
They are not aggressive. They are actually quite shy. If I want them come to me, I had to hold my breath, not using video light, not making any sudden move, pretending myself as part of the rock formation. The minute I exhale or make a move they would swim away in a giiffy.

Only a handful few species of sharks are known to be men-eater and hammerhead is NOT one of them.

However.....

Are you supposed to never hold your breath underwater?

Technically, he's not holding his breath... he's just inhaling very very slowly. I do that when someone is taking a picture of me, or when I'm controlling my buoyancy for a finicky macro target

In this case, we are not moving and only for about 5-10 seconds, the time it takes to slow inhaling. I have done it many times. No problems.

This is a great report to read and Q&A with the OP:

My only reservation with the original plan by @chimong is the last day. Otherwise I do not have any issue with it.

I saw the whalesharks at Oslob 10 years ago. They are fed from small boats near shore and you jump in and snorkel with them. I don’t think scuba was permitted. The animals are beautiful but the experience is contrived, unlike diving with threshers off Malapascua, or lucky encounters with interesting creatures. It’s not terrible, and it provides an income to locals who then value the whale sharks (as oppsed to trying to get rid of them because they eat fish they’re trying to catch), but I don’t recommend it and wouldn’t do it again.
If I were in your position I would spend my entire trip on Malapascua - the diving is great, including but not only the thresher sharks. The island is far more relaxed than Moalboal. But if you want to see more than one place and don’t mind losing diving time to long bus trips then Moalboal is a good choice too.

FYI, you can shore dive with the whale sharks, lots of shops right there, and they'll even allow anyone to do them as a discovery dive
