Na you can do it, its actually considered an exercise, for women it flexes the vagina muscles, and for men it can stop an orgasm, its used as a sexual exercise for both men and women.
Bleh. I'd still bet most men can't do it, certainly not without a lot of pain. I guess we have to add kegel exercises to our dive fitness regiment. :D

i can stop peeing, no problem, once i start

and i don't excercise nothing ... my idea of excercise is drinking lots of booze and singing (?) off key

I read that book. Never thought of applying it to diving.

It will also set you up for dehyhration and increased risk of DCS - not an attractive option..

Oh, there are a lot of people who, because of various sorts of problems, learn to self-cath. If I were doing the kind of deco diving with several-hour-long hangs, I might consider it (with an appropriately designed one-way valve to prevent backwash!). I can't wrap my brain around spending a couple of hours in a wet diaper, myself.

Good thing I have no intentions, now or in the future, to do dives with multiple-hour deco!

I will offer one idea for making long dives more comfortable, though: Salt. A handful of salty snacks a few minutes before getting in the water will reduce urine output and keep you comfortable longer.

This advice will result in dehydration and increased risk of DCS - not an attractive option..:(
