Wow crass. That I'm sure had a much higher level of mental challenges than any recreational dive.

I bet driving a tank on that river bottom crossing was even more "fun".

In general, it was easier for the tanker
1. The road along the bottom was straight
2. They had the same breathing devices
3. In case of flooding, they had to wait until the tank filled with water, open the hatch and go to the surface.
4. And there were also us - engineering divers. We had to help them get out and pull out their tank with a tug.
