I'm now seeing max 3.1m or just under 10' on Windguru.
The NHC just issued a projected path that shows Nineteen reaching the Yucatan near the Belize border on Monday as a TS. It will likely get a name by tomorrow.

Unfortunately, that is not a path.

POTENTIAL TROPICAL CYCLONE NINETEEN, maybe it could grow into Sara, aiming at the Bay Islands and Honduran coast before hitting Belize, but it could go anywhere...

Throwing in the towel, if the port closes on Saturday, I am grabbing a flight out. Plan on returning on the 1st, the critical thing is getting the Xmas lights up prior to the 1st. I can get a kitchen pass to go diving but the XMAS lights are non-negotiable

I test, then hang, then retest mine before Thanksgiving so I can turn them on that night. My timer runs them from sundown for 4 hours.

This a much has nicer projection than earlier this week, now they predictit hugging the Honduran coast where it can't build to hurricane strength. If it holds the effect on Cozumel should be minimal

Just looking at the wind forecast makes me think the port will be closed for two weeks. I hope I'm wrong.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean. The NHC's prediction of the most likely path of the storm is the same as the heavy black line in what you posted.

Has anyone read about a weather pattern that is birthing all these storms? Is it a cyclical pattern or the new normal?

I was on a live aboard in Belize in 2018 when Hurricane Michael basically formed right on top of us. Fortunately it was the last day.

I like making a trip in Oct but this is Belize Hurricane Factory is getting out of control.
