i like it but at the same time HATE it also!

i think i molded it wrong and caused me to have a larger overbite than normal. after a dive, i would have a terrible headache everytime. i switched my mouth piece back and felt fine every time since. it happened over ten times before i figured it out.

take the mouthpiece off and turn it over and see if that helps?

just an idea... may or may not work depending on how your teeth line up.

i have bought another one but have been dragging my feet to mold it too

If you didn't throw your old one out, you can try re-molding it. I did that with mine after some dental work and it worked fine. I don't know how many cycles one can do, though.

I did one dive w/ mine then bought a backup - won't dive w/out it. Business case is easy: already spent $XXXX on gear + training; agree to pay more money (fills, charter, transit, etc.) every time I dive; agree to spend 2.5+ hours rockin' on the sea - all for 2 ~45min evolutions actually engaged in my chosen sport. What's $25 for a 100% improvement in my experience? I also found a budget trade-off; I filled spent water bottles w/ Great Stuff and tied them together instead of buying tank holders = $20 toward my SeaCure. Hey, I only spent $5 on mine

Don't want to hijack the thread ... but, anyone diving a SeaCure w/ a SP G250V and experience wet reg when inverted?

I don't like my moldable SeaCure. I made several attempts to like it - no chance. I re-cured it 3 times, still no luck. Problem is that it's too hard. It rubs gums, lets some water in and looks freaky.

I have a problem with pretty much all stock mouthpieces - my jaws hurt next day after diving. Perhaps I bite too hard. I found out the cheap $3 one branded as Trident works pretty well. It's longer, thinner and softer than most stock ones.

I have them on all of my primary regs. I have bad TMJ and like others the AL ComfoBite mouthpieces rub my gums, the SeaCure's really eliminate jaw fatigue especially when doing multiple dives in a single day.

mike_s, I hate your signature!!!! Now my screen has fingerprints all over it!

I bought one last year, molded it, put it on my regulator and tried it. In cold water, it gets really stiff and uncomfortable. I took it off and put the original back on.

If you want to save some money, I have a used one, cheap... :D

I didn't like the SeaCure price either. just didn't see the $25 price of a mouthpiece being worth it. (that and I didn't want one that big).

I like the AL "comfo-bite" shape, but the hard rubber of it was rubbing my gums.

so I just bought one of these to replace it. I think I'm going to like it much better because the rubber is very soft and won't rub as much

well I just tried out the above soft clear comfortbite "soft rubber" version of the Aqualung comfo-bite.

I will say that I like it much better than the Aqualung version of the mouthpiece and it does NOT rub my gums.... but.... it seems a little "too soft". it folds in easily and can slip out of your mouth easier... so you have to put forth a little more effort with your jaws to hold onto it.

seems that if we had one that was about half way between the two that it'd be about perfect.

That's my experience as well. Just tried out the original Comfo-Bite, the Comfo-Bit II with the wings, but without the bridge and the no-name comfo-bite. All can be seen here:

For me, the original Comfo-Bite wins hands down. Version II doesn't provide the same support and requires more "holding" - not quite clenching, but more than the original. The no-name bite is too soft as Mike mentions, and the bridge actually folds and provide no support. The wing parts of the bite also fold easily, and that combined with a very slick surface makes "grip" quite precarious.

Yeah I've got to agree worn Hendrik

I think will go back to the old one and with the mi flex hoses I bought it will reduce gum fatigue
