Hiya Welcome to Florida. If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes! :)

Yes. For example, here's the same model run four (no, six) hours later...

Well, at least it'll change in a few...

Michael, did you guys get that storm last night? We got a tornado out of it.

We were able to see it, and it skirted us, but didn't dump here. I could tell there was serious convergence of some sort going on, and a vibrant seabreeze. Kay and I watched it form while she was taking pictures of it.

Maybe it's my imagination, but Charlotte Harbor seems to get more than its share of twisty things this time of year.

Where did you get that info. Can you provide a link?

And I am planning on bringing some pasta salad.

The plot is from a website for soaring pilots, operated by "Dr. Jack" Glendening. There is a set of models with which you can view the current day's suitability for soaring in thermals, otherwise you need to pay a small fee for annual subscription and he has many models and analyses of interest to anyone interested in basic predicted conditions for wind, moisture, cloudiness, and relative solar heating. http://www.drjack.info

There is a lot of valuable free data at the noaa website. http://www.noaa.gov/ but most of it is current and recent observations.

It never used to seem that way, but the last couple of years it seems to have changed.

We were on service beach last night at 8:30 and the lighting started to the east. We made a hasty exit, but by the time we were half way to auburn rd, we were getting slammed. I was not surprised to see that a tornado was a part of that system.

On a better note, we have been enjoying the diving! Vis has been much better than we expected, and the waves cleaned up the silt that was covering the bottom. We were three times more productive today than yesterday.
