2 to 3 foot seas and 10 knot west wind is pretty standard fare for costal forecasts in the Sarasota / Venice area, and if those weather conditions preclude a safe beach pick-up, why do you plan to pick up divers from the beach instead of a nearby pier? Not trying to second guess, just saying that planning an event in advance and getting a day with 2 foot seas or less, you would have to be pretty lucky. I am planning on going back to the Boneyard in the next few weeks, and might have room for an extra diver or 2 (I have a 28' Pursuit walk around with tank racks). I will post when I am going if any of you are interested.
 
I vote for just about any weekend except the last weekend in July.
