To those saying you don't need a BC system have you tried getting back to the surface from 110ft while wearing a wetsuit and 32lbs of lead or after you tore a hole in your drysuit and it is flooded?

You may also want to make sure it is legal to leave an un manned vessel where you plan to dive.

All the hoopla about the little gizmo that keeps the water out during rising is just that. If you bump it it leaks.
If you use them you can justify how good they are cuz you use them and don't want to look bad cuz you do.
If you don't well you bash them cuz they are not as good as what you use...

In water chest compressions used to be taught years ago. Way back in 1981 when I was a little diver I took the YMCA SLAM class and we had to show that we could do them along with rescue breathing.

The o-rings are not the problem you can get them at an o-ring supplier.
It is the seats 1st or 2nd, most of them can be reused its just a problem of getting the knife edge of the piston to line up with the groove in the seat so you don't have IP creep.

The Uni/School we taught at had a 13 2 hour pool 1 hour class format.
One of the shops I taught at had a 6 Sunday 2 hour pool, a 3 Wensday 4 hour pool and a 6 hour Sat/Sun pool.
The College class had more pool time for sure but did not neccesaraly(sp) produce better divers!

Funny thing about this feed/human conditioning thing some of these posters are talking about.
I worked as a feeder on a Eel Feed and a Shark Feed dive program at 2 different islands.
We would do the Eel feed in the afternoon, when we dove that site with out food bags we saw the normal amount...
I dove Air2 and stock 2nd hose for 20+ years with out ANY problems.
If you like it get it and get used to using it.
Not everyone needs an overhead rig but he did ask what you like/don't about the Air2.
