Still no owner on the mask.... Again, if you lost a good mask, pm me to identify and I will get it right back to you.

Otherwise, I kinda need a new mask anywhoozle. :)

Oh good then Ill ask boss lady for the day off lol. K important
question here. Yes I am a newb, but how the heck do you
get that smell out of your wet suits? My god, it smells like
funky tennis shoes..I was debating letting it soak in the
bath tub with some gentle dish soap and baking soda but
not sure lol. Help.... i have a stinky porch now!!

Wear a swimsuit :)

Try baby shampoo. SimpleGreen is supposed to be a gentle deoderant with a mint smell :)

PM: Well.. its kinda got a soft silicone skirting with two hard lense area's to look through. There is a strap that goes around the head and the whole nose area is closed in. It may have had boogers left over from the dive which would make it definitely not mine. :)

Let's see... I had to pick up Adam around 8:00 Friday evening...
Kris got in around 8:15 Friday eveining...
Sorry, I missed the get together for the Tampa area divers, but it took me 1.5 hours to make it through Tampa (heavy rains) all the way to Valrico to pickup my son, and then drive back to Pinellas...

We were on the road to Venice before 8:30 AM, good for the tres of us! One stop at Mickey D's for the morning (The boy is an eating machine, I tell you... Last night he went through a Totino's pizza, a bag of chips, a bag of Dorito's, a bag of Bugle's, a bag of Cheeto's, a pint of Ice Cream... and a cheese burger...) and on to exit 200 Venice Beach, Fl. ....

We arrived 10-10:15, and there was room to off-load in front of Walter's SUV. We dumped everything there and I parked KBeck's new RAV4 around the corner.

By the time I got back to the "dump point" most of our "crap" was on the beach... only the cooler of water & sodas remained, so I carried that down to our "invasion point", and set up our "Gazebo". The sun was still in the early morning position, and we repositioned chairs, coolers, etc. throughout the day. I don't know who was next to us, but they have the same "Gazebo" and butted it up to us with precision accuracy, making the entire space 10x20... very cool for everyone! All I can say is that Joyce was in the shade any time she wanted to be...

Recently added to the Alhambra site is a new reef, I have deemed "The diver's obstacle course"... A large artificial reef placed from 14'-21' running due west of the Pine trees. When first placed, I didn't like this spot because it was placed right on top of prime tooth hunting space... A large number of concrete blocks that are north and south, running west... These are big blocks and are in no true running destination... Get caught in a good current, and you will have the scars on your legs like I have...

In recent times, I have grown fond of the "Artificial Reef" space... I can head out due west of the pines to 14-15' and run into the "before area" If things are right, this area is a fantastic area to show new shark tooth divers what they are looking for... Unfortunately, conditions covered the area with brown algae and this is NOT what is conducive to a good dive, .... but, an addendum is there are many spaces between algae there for all to see...

Marvel, Kbeck, Rawkstar and myself enter these N/S rocks at a point I'm not wanting to dive, but I did state we would enter at the first potential entrance.... and began our south run... At some point, we were separated, and me being one of three flags, made the surface run... 10 min on the surface waiting for my dive buddy, another 5 min. untangling the three dive flags and I pretty much realized this was a clutter.. f...

I Knew all of us were in the same area, but vis didn't allow us to see the other's bubbles... I was coming up on an hour of bottom time and wanted to get back to the beach to see what was happening around noon. My buddy was with me (Kbeck), so I let her know we were heading back in, she was good with that... Marvel and Rawkstar (both with flags) remained in the water...

Food was good... (avoided the cold chicken)... Excellent Enchilada Casserole... That WAS the entre of the day for me! Thank you VERY much. I really detest cold fried chicken...

In the past, I have brought out 2x4' boards, and saw horses, but I was informed that there were enough tables... or I would have brought them. It would have made a banquet table 2x16' long....

We made a second dive... deeper than the first dive, and entered the "divers obstacle course" deeper than the first dive... Our total tooth count was nearly 400 for that dive... No megs, but a few very nice Snaggle tooth's

If you want to really know... I have lost two masks at Alhambra, VB...

One with a nose purge, one without..

Well if it is yours, just let me know the brand name.... no biggie. Trust me, if you lost this one you would know its name I'd (pricey).:) :)

Also, you should have tried the chili, one of the 80 hotdogs, deviled eggs, or the other numerous things that were sooo delicious. :)

Colin :whack: :)

I owe everyone an appology for not taking my name off the list.

I ended up going down to the Keys with a local dive shop. I would have much rather have met some scubaboarders to dive with and gone to the birthday bash.

Again I apologize.

S'okay, no worries. The only bummer is that you didn't get to hang out with us. It really was a good time. Hope you had some good dives down in the Keys. Edit: Actually Kira you did cancel in post #71 :)

As for name tags - we did this once before and it kind of went well. I am willing to give it a try again at the next big event :ne_nau:

Also if anyone is keen, a few of us are doing a dive out at Spanish Rocks on the 9th. I will add a link. http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/gr...32-little-gathering-8-9-08-spanish-rocks.html
