6/27/09 7th Annual Venice Beach and Birthday Dive Bash

CBulla usually heads this up, but after talking to him today on the phone and getting a lot of requests for information, it was decided that I go ahead and start a thread. So.... details...
Alhambra, June 27th Beach dive and birthday bash!
Bring a food item to share. We will also need tables and shade.
Most divers do 1-3 dives, water temps in the mid 80's, max depth about 20'.
When parking on the road, do not block the condo driveways. No pets allowed on beach.

Food and Supplies:
CoolTech and KBeck-one 10x10 canopy, some plywood cut into 2x6' (maybe 2x8') and saw horses. We have either 24' or 32' of table space that is 2' wide, Case of Diet Coke (not Pepsi!), bottled water, pulled pork & BBQ sauce

Me-Birthday cake (Please let me know if your birthday is near the end of June so we can celebrate with you!) KBulla, Joyce, Rickelpickel and Rickelpickel's wife.

KBulla and clan - Capri Suns for the munchkins, lunch meats

My wife and daughter and I will be in town from the 26th through the 2nd so we will be there. Will post what we will bring later, we are looking forward to seeng some old acquaintances as it has been a couple of years since the last one we could make it to.

Great I'm glad this is on again! I hope to make it this year; had the hotel and everything last summer but the beach closed at the last minute because of pollution. My niece and nephew were so looking forward to finding shark teeth. We ended up in Sanibel for shells.

Jenny, I wish. No way I can take that particular Saturday off. Hopefully we can try again for this in the fall? I think lots of people would do this twice in a summer. It's only about 4 hours each way from our town, not a big deal.

Hey ya'll! I've been in contact with Capt. Jamie and the Aristrakat amd he has graciously volunteered to donate his boat to ferry divers from shore out to the bone yard. Jamie you rock! Since he is not receiving any $$ from this, tips are greatly appreciated.
Jamie, please consider hanging out afterwards this time for some food and fun!!
