Oh good then Ill ask boss lady for the day off lol. K important
question here. Yes I am a newb, but how the heck do you
get that smell out of your wet suits? My god, it smells like
funky tennis shoes..I was debating letting it soak in the
bath tub with some gentle dish soap and baking soda but
not sure lol. Help.... i have a stinky porch now!!

Jeez what did you do to your wetsuit? Oh wait, don't answer that.:D

They make something called "sink the stink" or many other simliar products. You should be bale to buy it at just about any dive shop. I hear woolite works well if you put it in the bathtub and let it soak. Sometimes I soak it in the tub with just a little bit of laundry detergent.

I didnt do anything lol. Its just from wearing it lol. I cant blame the
nachos i didnt eat any lol. K guess i can try it. I rinse them off
in the tub and hang them on my porch to drip dry.

Marvel was there?? How did I miss you??? We must have been on seperate dive/SI schedules. Sorry - would have loved to catch up... Let's do a east coast dive soon...

Lisa?????? You were there too & we missed each other??? :11: GF, it's been WAY too long! Give me a call or shoot me a PM- I'm not on call next weekend & would love to have you come up for a day of diving!

It was great meeting new people and seeing old friends. Special thanks to Jamie for taking all of us out to the bone yard. Names tags is a great idea if we can figure a way to make it work.

Lisa, Nancy and I weren't diving that much, we barely had 4 hours of bottom time.

Someone left a lime green towel with light blue highlights draped over one of our beach chairs. Let me know who wants it back and I'll get it back to you.

I had a great time!!!!

Jim, Krista, Adam, Joyce, Mike and Marvel - you guys are great tent buddies. It was great visiting and just hanging out!!!

Thanks Jim for sharing your tent!!!!!!!! By the way, I'm one of your nine!!! Thanks Krista for always being there and helping!! You guys rock!! Adam - thanks for your help too.

Walter & Nancy - Thanks so much for being my dive buddies. Walter - Thanks for helping me with my gear!!! Nancy - It's always fun diving with you.

Colin and Tracy - Thanks for all your hard work in organizing the bash.

Jamie - The dive was great. Thank you so very much!! Unfortunately my quest for a meg did not happen. I did say that there would be a 5"+ meg - sorry it wasn't yours, really sorry it wasn't mine.

Dennis & Roxanne - I can't believe I didn't see you!! Our SI didn't match.

Pete - Great seeing you. Next time we'll be buddies.

Marvel - You were a great travel buddy. Let's go diving real soon!!!

Everyone else that I talked too - great seeing you again or meeting you for the first time.

Wow what a wonderful day! You know you're gonna have an awesome day when it starts with dolphin sightings!
Got to get out on the first boat. Thanks Jamie for your hospitality and the crew was great! It was worth it, and I got my first and second, third fourth and fifth megs! The biggest one is a good 3" and the others are decent also. For the record, I have not found a meg in all my years and hours underwater at Venice. So when the beach bash was rescheduled for Saturday, I was estatic. I saw the stars lining up in my favor (maybe I should also have played the lottery?). And yes, it was my day to find a meg. Thanks so much to Brian who so graciously was happy for me as I screamed in my reg!!!! Back on the boat, I learned that Kris got one too! Whoo HOOO!!!

Back on the beach, I was blessed with a birthday cake. Thanks Kris!! You, Heather and Hermit Crab did an awesome job! Fantastic day!

I am glad Sierra and Tracy liked the carmel corn. I was wondering what happened to it, and glad to hear it wasn't accidently thrown out. Of course I had to hide the bag from the Bulla clan on Friday night then it didn't get put out with the rest of the food on Saturday, and finally at the end of the day I remembered I brought it. OOPS! There I was with that big ole bag and offering it to everybody! LOL :rofl3: Will make some for the turkey fry and promise not to forget it on the beach towel! :rofl3:

Here is some photos.

Hi all! Mike and I just got home, deciding to spend the night in Venice and take the scenic route home, stopping to visit with Mom in Port St Lucie on the way.

Many thanks to everybody who worked so hard to make this event such a success!!! Even though I couldn't dive, I wouldn't have missed this for the world. CootTech, your canopy made the day for me. Between the shade it provided, and the light sea breezes, I managed to stay dry and comfortable. Catching up with old buddies, and meeting new folks is always the best part of these get togethers. The food was plentiful and delicious, although I would agree with NetDoc that more tables would be a MUST for next time. I think a lot of folks missed out on the goodies that were stashed in coolers or simply stacked under the groaning loads the tables already carried.

And the friends! What a great bunch of folks we ScubaBoarders are. Between helping to unload vehicles and carry supplies to the beach, lending gear and helping out with malfunctioning dive gear, retrieving lost items and providing sherpa service to those who needed help, what more could we ask for? And lets not forget about the wonderful service provided by Jamie and his crew, beach site pick-up and delivery, after runs out to the boneyard. I know that everybody made sure that this beach was left cleaner than we found it.

Anyway, my only regret was that I couldn't dive with you all. Hopefully, I'll be back in the water again soon. Until then, see you during the Surface Interval!
