Can anyone comment on how we meet up with the scubaboarder crew if we aren't camping out? Do we just park and gear up at the road and meet at the ocean or ...?
You've got a couple of choices.

You can get a day pass and park in the big lot by the road. That's were a lot of us gear up anyway. Then you can just walk up to the campsite which will have a big ScubaBoard banner displayed.

You can park on the road for free and still walk up to find the campsite. Then you can gear up by the road while others gear up in the big lot.

I wouldn't recommend gearing up by the road and waiting. The schedule of dives is very loose and we can be a bit unpredictable. :D

Hope this helps.

Sorry for the late notice but can you add me (and perhaps one other) for Saturday dives? Unfortunately, I can't spend the night as I have company coming in early on Sunday.

With that said - what can I bring please? I'm totally looking forward to diving with ya'll since Feb had gigantic waves.

How is the weather looking for next sat? Any big surf predicted?

Cheers! -- Lexy

You're not late, you're right on time!

Since the main BBQ is on Sunday, bring anything you want on Saturday. I'll bring some assorted munchies to share on Saturday, but Saturday is actually more of a free for all.

At weather.com it say:

Sat Apr 9
Partly Cloudy
Hi/Low 71°/48° 10% chance of precipitation
Event conditions 9 Very Good

Sun Apr 10
Sunny
Hi/Low 71°/49° 10% chance of precipitation
Event conditions 9 Very Good

I didn't even realize until just now that they had a rating for "event conditions".

I look forward to seeing you again!

I've updated the first post with a new loose schedule of events and tide predictions with Sunrise/Sunset times.

I've done this because at Leo Carrillo they close their gates to the campground at 10pm and don't open them again until 8am. It didn't seem to make sense to do a dive before then if we all want to meet at the campground first. I imagine that the first dive will probably be closer to 8:30am. Also the sun rises an hour later now with the time change.

I'm figuring that the first post is something people could print with all the info on it as they are running out the door. So, I'm trying to have all the necessary info on that first post. Let me know if you want anything else added to the first post.

I will be there for a couple morning dives then I have to get back home. Cant wait to see everyone. I just got back from camping at leo carillo. I took the little guys to the tide pools. They had a blast. The weather was great but a little windy. we had a great time.

Ana,

Are you going on Saturday? That's the day I am thinking of going... it would be great to dive with you again, it's been since December :11: already !!

Jennifer :10:

Just a reminder: while I have shown 6 people attending with me, we plan to be self sufficient, so nobody should plan to bring food for us. My guess is the kids we bring will eat more than the entire group. They may even be scrounging around neighboring campsites for leftovers. So don't leave any food unprotected. Watch your fingers, too.

Myrna is so excited about it she started packing this weekend.

Well I'm bummed! can't believe we will miss another one =(

Miss you guys and I know you will have fun.

Roger,
Will you be able to come for the day at least? There will be a boatload of kids for your kids to hang with if you decide to.
