Hey I'll be there at least sunday, if there's room to stay I'll camp out too. Don't forget the beer and chips and salsa Christian.

I got my call returned by one of the rangers today. Her name was Max. She said that if it is a fairly civil group that they are pretty cool about having more people than 8 in the camp site, but that if it involves a bunch of beer drinking 17 year olds that they get really strict about all of the rules. Of course, double the limit may not fly either. :11:

She told me that there are no walk in sites available. She recommended the sycamore canyon site down the road and said it's only about a mile away. So, that might be a good option to reserve.

She also told me that as long as we have a site that it doesn't matter how many people come to the BBQ during the day. Anyone who comes for the day just pays the day use fee when they come in and just parks in the big lot and walks up to the campground.

So, it sounds like everything should be fine! Jim told me that he's extending his reservation to include Sunday, so everything should be taken care of.

I'll continue trying to reserve another site just at Leo in case there is a cancellation.

At last! I have succeeded in reserving a campsite at Leo carrillo. It will be worth continuing to try for reservations, but I can now offer the other seven spaces for general use by fellow wrinklers (wrinklies?, whatever). Depending on how people want to organise things, I can bring a large (sleeps 8 at a pinch) a medium, or a small tent.

I'll continue trying as well, but I think we can get everyone that wants to spend the night into the 2 sites that we now have without much difficulty. They seem to be pretty forgiving of well behaved groups. Let us know when your confirmation arrives via email. It doesn't seem likes it's really a done deal until then.

I reserved for the saturday night only. As for a confirmation, well they charged my credit card already so I certainly hope they won't be backing out now!
The website currently shows 4 available sites for the friday - if we need one, maybe someone should go ahead and book now.

I just reserved another site for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

So, we have 2 sites on Friday night (Jim and myself), 3 sites on Saturday night (Jim, Peter and myself) and 1 site on Sunday (myself).

This should nicely accomodate everyone that wants to come. We only need one site on Sunday for everyone to participate in the BBQ and if anyone would like to stay that night until Monday morning they can.

Everyone please look at the original post and let me know if the numbers for your party need to be corrected on any of the days or nights, so that I can properly adjust the counts for planning purposes.

I can bring a couple big bags of chips & fruit from Costco. If you need other items before the chips, let me know so I can adjust my list.
