I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

They really should fix that STUPID website.

Looks like I will come down on Sunday. Maybe Saturday.

I've got the weekend off, I think. I'm not going to actually sign-up and commit to bringing something yet, because I would really like to see how conditions for diving will be before I make the drive up there. I will probably come for at least a day. If I do decide to stay the night, it isn't going to be at the campground even if spots open up;) , so no worries there.

Ann Marie,

If you discover someplace to stay in the area, please share this with us. :crafty:

Oxnard might be a good option for a place to stay and I may opt for that if spaces don't open up. If anyone knows of some good options there, please let us know.

I checked this morning and the website seems to show availability for all but Friday night:

http://www.reserveamerica.com/servl...directMatrix&site=all&sitesOffset=0&offset=-7
It shows those nights available, but won't let you reserve them. I also tried calling Reserve America on the phone and they say that the campsite is full. I keep trying on their website anyway just in case they have a cancellation.

I still have not been able to reach anyone at the ranger station to find out about "walk-ins", but will continue to try.

I'll have to find out when they start accepting reservations, so that we can make an early decision on our next event here.

the reserveamerica.com site is really misleading. What they do is, you (register first, then) make a reservation online, and they will send a confirmation email back in 24 hours to tell you if you got your spot.

Hi Chao,

This is some great info!

desert camel:
After 3 months of busiest time in my life now I am finally back. And what a big surprise that you guys are doing wrinkles dive in Leo Carillo again?! How nice. I am in, if it is not too late.
Never too late! I look forward to seeing you again.

desert camel:
6) a few other camp sites down the road on PCH, one is in sycamore canyon, don't have too much info myself;
This would be worth looking into.

desert camel:
7) HeadHunter, it is highly unlikely that we can get a "walk-up" site, but if you get one (still remember the gal ranger's name? :eyebrow: ), I am up for it; short notice is np to me.
We can try based on what the rangers tell me on the phone anyway.

By the way, it's Dani :eyebrow:

Hmmm...I don't recall getting an email after I reserved. Though they did charge my card over a week ago. Looks like I need to do some confirming.

**UPDATE**: Checked the reservation and it's confirmed.
