I just want to understand...is this a women's model of the X-Vision? Or have all X-Vision masks been changed now? As of when?

I love my X-Vision, and it took me forever to find the best mask I have ever worn. So, if it just changed, I'd like to get a couple of the older ones. Maybe I'm hard to fit, but it's the first mask I've worn that reliably doesn't leak and is comfortable.

The X-Vision has not changed. We are adding an additional version, same frame with smaller skirt, it will be called the X-Vision Mid.

So, if the X-vision didn't fit me....the X-vision mid will more likely fit?

If the X-Vision was too big, then yes the mid will be a better fit.

I have a Zeagle Ranger and a Mares Jubilee which both are great but I'll admit at times they feel big even though they are XS. I got the Zeagle when I first started teaching because of the lift capacity. The Mares was given to me by a shop I started teaching for because they didn't sell Zeagle and the owner hates Zeagle....I was glad to have a second BC and even more happy not to have to pay for it : ) However after all that is said, I worked at NASA for a while and I really enjoyed my ScubaPro Ladyhawk. it fit great and I never had a problem with it. I'm 5'2 and curvy, probably 125 back then - still trying to lose that last bit of pregnancy weight : )

As for the Mares She Dives line, I'm just glad a manufacturer is making diver gear just for women. I have a small face and will be happy to try the new mask when I need a new one.

I adore my Dive Rite Transpac II. It has all the comfy bells and whistles like sport cummerbund and lumbar support, and doesn't squeeze anywhere uncomfortably. I like how easy it is to modify the system with anything you want.

I had an olllld (like had pouch for CO2 cartridge) ScubaPro and at the surface, that thing would squeeze me like you wouldn't imagine, not to mention being too big so riding up around my neck.

I'm not stacked by any means, but I've found the general vest style to be uncomfortable, even on back inflate BCs that incorporate a vest style, which I've used a couple of times. I've found that stuff that isn't back-inflate, wing inflated rides vertically at the surface which presses the whole BC up, thus, while probably giving me an attractive lift job, is far from comfy.

I have the crotch strap on my DiveRite, but I don't think it keeps it from riding up much, since it doesn't seem naturally inclined to do so, plus a couple times I've dived with it unclipped, giving me a little fish tail, and haven't noticed much of a change except a little more "rocking" to my tank. It does keep that scooter ring in place so I can clip my gauges to it though.
