Shipboard I/S Manager

Act as 1,2 and 3rd level support for a cruise ship. We support Oracle, Unix, Sun, Windows 2000 Server, Exchange 2000, SQL, several POS systems, and general desktop issues for just over 100 users.

Sometimes a headache, but the scenery rocks ;)

I am a regulator for www.scubaboard.com

It pays a handsome salary with many benefits.
There is a 4 week vacation to any dive destination of my choice. And I get to pick out I get all new scuba gear to wear on each vacation.
There are 10 sick days paid a year, to use even if I'm not sick.
Scubaboard buys me a new computer every other year, and pays all my phone bills.
I also have a new chammy jacket with a logo of King Neptune on it.
I've been hearing talk of an underwater camera system coming for an Easter bonus.
Thanks for asking!

:gorgeous:

Natasha,

SHHHH, nobody else was supposed to know about that! ;) Now I am really going to be in trouble.

Sheesh, getting harder and harder to keep a secret around here. (hehe)

Environmental Health Specialist with a sizeable suburb of Dallas.

I do food code enforcement, public swimming code enforcement, mobile food vendor code enforcement, and tatoo and body peircing code enforcement.

Before this I was a shift supervisor in a hazardous materials lab. After 5 years I decided it was too dangerous.

Someday I am going to own my own business.

Maint. Technical Support for Dallas based electric utility. We
have the Gas, lignite and Nuke plant in texas. I work the
nasty lignite one. This job is in the predictive maintance of
conveyors, fans, turbine and any other contraption it takes
to make electricity. We do oil, vibration and thermography to
try to head off unexpected outages.

Environmental Consultant. I help government agencies understand and comply with other government agencies' environmental rules and regs. I also do the same thing for energy companies and other corporations. In California, while there is no shortage of rules and regs, environmental protection takes a backseat to, well, documenting compliance with all of the rules and regs. :box:

So, in a nutshell, I :bmonkey: untangle regulatory hairballs!

I couldn't resist I had to ask.

By POS do you mean Point of Sale or the other meaning. I know it is the other meaning for several of the machines I admin.

I HATE my job. I work for the state prison system, and it is AWFUL. The system is nearly thirty percent understaffed. I don't plan on making a career out of it. I'm studying hard to pass the real estate exams. The only good thing about my job is I have OVER a month off paid. Well, if you can call my meager salary "pay". Maybe, as David St. Hubbins would say, I earn a stipend.

I am an Aircraft Maintenance Planner for Delta Air Lines. I schedule and track close to 400 maintenance items on each of our 500+ aircraft. I set up maitenance sheets for all of our cities worldwide, and make sure all items I schedule are complied with.

for Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes - i.e. I [or more so the bright young engineers that work for me] get to invent the processes that SCUBALeg will use to make those delightfully overpriced chips you folks buy! - - Wish I had his options package though! - Dumbest move I made was to turn down an Intel offer 20 years ago. I'd be diving every day now :(

Isn't it interesting - how varied our other lives are!!!
