Eat it. It could be you. Dive another day. No big deal. Ive called dives because my buddy woke up with a blocked ear and i wasn’t willing to join another team. It was a hard to access dive. Tides. Weather. The right buddy. I’ve refused to jump because the boat was a complete **** show. Didn’t ask for money back. Will never book again.
 
Diver was ultimately diagnosed with immersion pulmonary edema and got a trip in the chamber. Full recovery
In that case I would not expect a refund, but if I was an operator, I would offer one.

BTW some posts in this thread that I am assuming are coming from operators are pretty savage. Ops expect their customers to eat this loss but are unwilling to participate in it themselves. I guess this is why I almost exclusively shore dive.
