Used to do the gym 3-4 days a week. Then cut back to 3 days. Now none, not because of diving, though, just a few busy months, work, starting of the WV club, vacation, oh yeah and I had that new super flu for a week too!)

I still do that. I don't consider it a hobby -- it's more of a sanity thing. I shoot for five mornings a week, and am satisfied if I make it three of those

I spend much of the winter building model ships. I'm currently working on a 1:85th scale US Constellation. The rest of the year when I'm not diving, I take the boat out or fire up the motorcycle and head for someplace nice and quiet. It's all "stress management.

I have a number of sports and a few passions.
Snow Skiing
Roller Hockey
Inline Skating
Whitewater Rafting
Ocean Kayaking
Waterskiing
Wakeboarding
Hiking
Backpacking
-------------------------------------
I Snow ski about 20-30 days a year, mainly centered around ski racing weekends at North Shore of Lake Tahoe. I am the Race Director for the Race Team for a San Francisco Bay Area based Snow Ski Club. I also go on at least one ski trip with the Snow Ski Club each year. http://www.apres.org

Whenever it is not wet on the ground, I play Roller Hockey with a big group of friends in South San Jose. I used to play in local Roller Hockey leagues, but not in the last two years. That coincides with when I got certified and when I got real involved with the Snow Ski Club.

I lead a group for the Snow Ski Club that Rollerblades every Monday during the sunny months. We skate 8 miles and then go out to dinner.

In the summer I lead Whitewater Rafting events for my company and for the Snow Ski Club. I also went with some more serious rafters last summer to the Feather River in Nor Cal.

I also lead at least one Ocean Kayaking event in the Monterey Bay Area for the Snow Ski Club each summer.

I also am a member of a Waterski club in the area. (actually it is a drinking club with a water ski problem) http://www.fun-and-sun.org/
I went waterskiing / wakeboarding about 10 days last year, including a 4 day houseboat trip to Lake Shasta with the Snow Ski Club.

I don't do as much hiking as I used to, but I took up Backpacking with the Snow Ski Club last summer since they offered a training series.

I usually lead a couple of evenings of Ice Skating for the Snow Ski Club each year.

My bike hasn't come off the hooks in a couple years.

I haven't played Softball in years, but I played for about 8-10 years with teams from my company.

The golf clubs haven't come out since I got certified. One of my Hockey buddies says that Golf is for people that are too old to play hockey or surf. (he is about my age = 45-50)

Add in Board of Directors for the Snow Ski Club for the last three years, plus Board of Directors for the Snow Ski Racing League, and it is a wonder that I have time to get underwater at all. I hope to start leading more Scuba Events for the Snow Ski Club in the coming years.

Well you asked,

Wristshot

I do interperative dance in the streets of Delray. I've found that I have had to sacrifice dance time to dive, so now I combine the two and do interperative dance in the streets of Delray with my scuba gear on. The town folk seem to enjoy it, but the police found it disturbing.

LOL!! Is there any video evidence of this interpretive scuba dance? I would love to see it!!

cheers !!

I don't really consider that a hobby either, but I saw a few others mention it. I purposely cut back to 3 days, because I just know there's no way I can keep up 4 days a week. I always go through phases too, and this time of year is usually the peak of my lazy phase. Hopefully I'll start up again in a week or 2.

I got so lazy with that, that I let my domain expire. I'm finally starting to make a few $$$ on the side doing some freelance web design, though. Once I get caught up, I plan on registering a new name, and getting my new site up. Of course, I have the wv site, and a few other things in the works though, so I'll probably just blow it off a little longer. Now that I think about it, I really need to update my resume too!

LOL! I say the same thing. It's the sport for grumpy old men and non contending, playoff missing teams. I hear my Rangers are really good golfers!

NO! You have to post that somewhere, so we can all see.
