I study...and then I study a bit more.....and when I'm tired of studying...well I just keep studying ...even when I dive I think about studying....ah well, the studying will have to end at some point or another, right?

Sorry!
I think I may be the only guy in my family who doesn't golf.
I bust on all of them too!

I look at it this way, most of my friends who knock it, can't do it.
When they can do it, they're welcome to come back and give their opinion.

Pros who spend 4 days a week, walking green fairways chasing a white ball and make over $1,000,000 dollars for doing so, can't be too stupid.
By the way, this weeks Pro tournament was in Hawaii and the winner's check was over $1,000,000. Not bad for a weeks work. I wonder if he dove during his time off?

If you're in medicine, divemed, nope. We just stop calling it studying & call it perpetual learning instead. :)

Xman:
Downhill mountainbiking, Rock climbing, Coastguard Rescue.

How often do the Coastguard need rescuing down there?

Run/jog (I like to call it running) 400-500 miles per year.

I used to hunt, fish, play golf, but have just about quit everything except DIVING. steve

Sailing, kayaking, biking, gymn. Plan to start rock climbing. Have skydived, but do NOT plan to make that a habit.. fun as it was.

None have really suffered YET due to SCUBA since I am still such a new diver. Plus being a cold weather wimp, this is a slow time for my outside sports anyway.. even in SoCal.

Fly fishing. I'm actually considering combining it with scuba by trying some underwater nymph fishing this year during the stone-fly hatch.

I fly, I sail, I throw caution to the wind....

Well, flying pays the bills, though it's too much fun to consider it work.
Sailing has been out for a couple years since I sold my boat when I left Florida.
Now, when I'm not diving, I'm trying to keep four little kids entertained ... that involves a lot of time spent at the beach snorkeling with the two older ones.

Oh ... and Sport Kites .... http://www.prismkites.com ...that'll give you an idea of what the kites entail.
