I tore up my right knee. I had an MRI last week and will find out how bad this afternoon, but I know I won't be able to dive this weekend. I'm eating Darvocet like M&M's. Have fun, guys, I'll be there in spirit.;-0

That's terrible!!! You are the reason why I put this together. I'll get your some shark's teeth and send them to you.

I know how knee problems are. I found out recently I have chondramalasia and I will have surgery after Thanksgiving. In the mean time I am being fitted for a brace, 800mg motrin, darvacet, and cortison shots are in my future.

I hope it heals soon.

I don't know if grills are allowed on the beach.....anybody know for sure?

You would do well to call the Sarasota County Sheriff Department or FMP and check. I really don't think you can have a grill on the beach, but the sheriff will be able to give you the final answer. I guess it'll depend on what they consider “beach” and what they call “parking area”.

I'm planning to take cold cuts - easier and no grill issues.

Good point...although most of the time I equate "party" to GRILLIN'!

Suppose I will do the same.

Walter could you explain in simple terms how your buddy lines are made? I asked earlier, but it got buried in the feeding frenzy.

I am sorry to say, Renee & I will not make it.
I have to go out of town, & will not get back in-time to get there Sat. AM.

Sorry NetDoc, No HarleyBurgers for the ducks.

Dive safe, all of you.
Get lots of teeth.

I have torn the anterior and posterior meniscus in my right knee. Surgery is the only solution. Sorry to hear you're in the "knee scar" club. Have fun and dive safely.

Net Doc,

As far as tank rentals there is a place not to far just off the north end of the island. Their website is www.floridawestscuba.com Tel. 941-486-1400. When I went diving with Dr. Jay we went there for fills at 3 bucks apiece. It's a small place so you may want to call for availablity.

There is also a Scuba Quest in South Venice, a Larger chain store that should have fills. You should give them a call as well 941-497-5985.
