WOW!!!!!!!!
OMG....If this keeps up this is going to surpass the size of the last sailing rigata....
Have you decided where to meet?? The site where you had originally mentioned is going to be rather tight!
What a turn out!!!!

Wendy from here on out you are helping plan all my gatherings!!
Awsome job!! :D

I know that food for the SIT has been mentioned in the past but what is it that everyone is bringing? I thought that it should be something simple and can be kept in a cooler of course.

I will be bringing either potato or Macaroni salad, (probably from Publix) so don't think that you all have to get all fancy and make the home made stuff.

Just my .02 cents.....anyone else bringing picnic food?

Wildbill:D

well I was thinking of maybe bringing some finger sandwhiches or meat-roll-ups....Actually I cannot lie until you said "don't go and do something fancy like making potato or mac salad" I was planning on making potato salad...Maybe I will bring fruit...I will check when we return from Venice this weekend to see what everyone else is doing and make a choice of what seems to be missing.....
:D

Something has to be said so I'm going to say it.

It's too close to the time to be thinking about changing the location. There are too many people and it's bound to happen that someone wouldn't find out. Just go there and have a fun time! :)

Could somebody post directions on how to get to Venice? I will be leaving Friday afternoon, so if posted prior, I would really appreciate it.

I agree with PaulB-don't change the location. But, for those of us who have never been there please somebody give as much information as possible to us so we dont end up missing everybody!

I will be bringing my non diving kiddo and 3 other non diving shark teeth explorers, 2 of them kids. Total for me: 1 diver, 4 non divers.
Food? We will be bringing enough food for us, if there is grill, can we throw some burgers on it?

Looking so forward to meeting everybody in 6 DAYS! Hope the weather holds out!

Head to Venice on I 75. Take exit 193 and head SW (coming from the south that’s a left turn) on Jacaranda. Turn right on Venice Ave. Stay on Venice Ave until after you’ve crossed the bridge to the downtown area. Turn left at the second light after the bridge (Harbor). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra). Park on the street as close to the dead end as possible. Be careful not to block the driveway to the condo.

Let's meet early (7:30 - 8:00), so we will have fewer problems with parking.

I know we have close to 50 folks, how many cars? Who needs a buddy line (Amber I have one reserved for you)? If you're diving, you need a buddy line, a better question is who doesn't have one?

I have a flag, no buddy line. Will also be looking for a buddy- but that shouldn't be much of a problem...

Thanks Walter for the directions. I think that it is a good idea to arrive early!

I have a Buddy Line and will probably pick up a flag before the weekend, I've been needing one anyway. So count me at one of each.

Early meet is a great idea, I will just make sure I get to the LDS friday night for my tanks.

Walter,

I have my own flag, but Cindy and I have never used a buddy line. What do yours look like. I could probably make a quick one up myself this week.

I was thinking it was a rope (length ???) with a couple of leash style loops on either end.

Am I correct?
