Sorry I was hardly awake when I was trying to make a point this morning. My point was supposed to be, I rather have my buddy 6 feet away from me than 12 feet away from me if I need him/her.

That's ok I still got the point :mean: I'm a pretty smart chick (hehe)

Im going to try and make it. I might not get there until 10pm. What time is everyone planning to dive? And what beach at Venice?

I at the USPS and work nights, I dont getoff until 1:30am thats if I dont get overtime.

I hope to see everyone. I will be looking for dive flags

Walter will even show us how to stay "attached" to your buddy line, and to check the other end every now and then to see if a shark has stripped the bait! :tease:

Now are these buddy lines, or are they tow lines?

I will try and be there at 10am. I can only do a 1 tank dive and have to head back home.

I just want to get wet and some sun.

If the VIS is the same as last week you will not need a buddy line. Unless you are blind.(haha)

I normally give a buddy line to each diver, but with this crowd, I may have to give one to each buddy team. I have 15 now and considering the amount of line I have left, I should finish with 26.

If you'd like your own, bring 1/4" polypropylene (will likely just say poly on the bag) rope and I'll teach you to make them.

I will bring the scubaboard flag. If you PM me, I will give you my cell number so we can meet up Friday night and I can give it to you. I figure you will be there first on Saturday morning, and we (read: me, non diver and 3 kids) will be getting there a little bit after that.

My boss sent me a link to this and after reading the thread I registered so I could post! Jenny, my wife want's nothing to do with diving in the waters on this side of FL until she's been able to dive in the Keys, if you need a buddy, I'll be happy to pick up the other end of the rope! I've been talking about doing this same dive for months!!!
