Whenever I get tired of hearing it I just dive solo. But that one definition that says companion who shares in the plunder:14: is pretty cool. Buddy is still the best word. Everything else has some weird connotations:11:. Even partner. If it's not the politically correct word for some kind of strange relationship it sounds like a law firm. And that's bad.
