I've only used old blingless G250's, so I can't really say how hard it is to remove the cover of a new repackaged blingy G250V, but I am of the understanding that the pin that comes in the new service kits for G250's is there so that G250V's are no longer capable of having their covers removed underwater... Sure sounds like a great improvement, perhaps even more grandiose than the extra bling...You can not remove the 700 cover under water if needed to clear something.
Do you guys know if you can get away with leaving that pin out in the new G250V's?
And then there's always Trident. If the 250V is discontinued the only thing you will need to find is a source for some o-rings. The low pressure seat is the same as the S600. I have used kits for the old 250HP and S600 kits to rebuild mine.
