Congrats, Australia is now officially the world's first Scubapro Free Country!

Actually, I think price fixing and cartels are unlawful in most countries, except nobody ever bothered looking at the scuba business.

OTOH, and in spite of price fixing, I never have any problem getting a good price from a friendly LDS.

Yeah, everytime I go to my LDS they give me the business.

Wait until you see international price setting (not "fixing") according to the standard of living. For example:
So we have the privilege of paying over 25% more than you guys. And the worst part is: they think we're too dumb to look around!

This is a direct qoute from my sale rep for Scubapro Richard Hernandez. I asked him this question.

What is the story on the G250V is it gone? There are a lot of rumors running around. It isn't on your website for the US anymore.

Here is his answer.

"No the G250V is still with us, only they decided not to sell the G250V with the first stage. So you have to purchase this as a separate and pair with what even you like on the first stage. Please look at the attached price list on page 16. The G250V is still selling very well and it is a good product."

I personally own 4 G250V second stages, I purchased them when they first came out. I replaced all my G250HP's with them. I love them.

Perhaps the price difference is to account for Swiss tax/customs and for freight??? Also, let's not forget about supporting the Swiss way of life. I find that everything costs a lot more in Switzerland than what it would cost in the US including computers, etc. not just SP equipment.

I believe there is at least one version of the G250 that uses the @#$% pin. I have helped someone remove it, so I had that G250 in my hand.

The a700 needs tools to remove the cover.

The g250, g250hp, s600, r190, g250v, etc don't need the pin. Its apparently some CE thing. I don't have a single reg pinned, and the faceplates don't come off unless I make them come off.

We have 5 G250's: 4 have the pins that I removed; my personal one never has it, not does it have the pin holes. Very strange; it's from the late 90's.

I think for the pin is to drill and to punch the pin in.

And to cut him the new one and glue him the pin in.

And if there's a few marbles loose like someone we know
He cuts in some threads in the end of the pin when it's in
and there you go.
