If you fail BUD/S, your chances of getting another opportunity are really slim and you will end up in a non-combat job in the Navy. In the Army or Marines, at least you can get regular infantry or try for Rangers.
I have heard that BUD/S washouts often end up as SWCC. (Though I can't find a source for that right now.) SWCC is definitely not a non-combat position. It's not impossible to get a second try at BUD/S, but it apparently is not very common.

Yuck! That's even worse. You end up as the red-headed step child of the NSW community. Might as well be a Navy EOD. At least they get a few opportunities to do direct action.

How to mentally prepare for US Navy SEAL training: Date my girlfriend for 1 week. :)

I didn't know you were seeing my ex-wife!

:rofl3: This post tells me either A. She does not come to this site or B. She has an amazing sense of humor.

I am putting my money on A.

Correct. She is a pro figure skater with a fickle sense of humor.

I go for "B"...

"A" is the reason I posted it in SB. I told her about the post and the silence was deafening. Guess it wasn't funny? :flowers:

She is someone's ex-wife!
