This might be a stupid question, but after receiving my new D4 as a present today, I can't seem to turn it off. I went through the manual and there's nothing that states how to turn it off. I've been able to setup everything to my settings, so it seems I have a general understanding how this thing works... but alas no off button... Does it just go off by itself? This enigma is puzzling, especially after all this nog :santa3:

you can't! it's a watch type meant for everyday wear :D

That makes a lot of sense... Thanks man:D

Witch computer DOES have an off switch.
Uptill now I didn't see any of them have a off switch, nornaly when not used, they'll shut off by them selfs after an hour or so.
When used they shut off after off gassing.

true all DC cannot be switched off until off-gas; but some (uwatec & oceanic, i think) has an option to keep them on after off-gassing until switched off manually.

Uwatec maybe(don't know).Not my Oceanic's.
Why should you want to keep it on.

duuno! I have stinger.
EDIT: maybe for no-fly time?

I know how to turn a computer off. A big !@#$% hammer. Or the dork next to you who drops his tank on it. :D

As others have said dive computers turn off when there is no nitrogen loading. The rest of the time they sleep. As for the D4 it is a watch.

i'd turn the dive mode to "off" though after your dive day/s to stretch your battery life a bit longer...

Jag
 not on Suunto; dive mode, activation on/off by water contact only (and starts once below 1.5mt) user has no control over it.
