i beg to differ...not on Suunto; dive mode, activation on/off by water contact only (and starts once below 1.5mt) user has no control over it.
water activation is present but you CAN turn dive modes "off"...

nope not guage mode - that's a totally different setting :biggrin:you mean the gauge mode? or is it something new for D4? my stinger doesn't have that!
it's an option...yeah, for bat replacement it's the same for my stinger, just sent it out for replacement, hopefully will get it on Wed
can you elaborate on how to "turn off"? how do you do it?
Ahh, that's nice to know.it's an option...
mode>dive>set> (my options are AIR, NITROX, FREE and OFF)
comp's tucked away right now... but it should be in the manual online for the specifics

on the stinger: mode>dive>set> (my options are AIR, NITROX, FREE) are the only options.
question .. why would changing water activation on/off after the computer is on, have anything to do with battery life?i'd turn the dive mode to "off" though after your dive day/s to stretch your battery life a bit longer...

then why does my D4 have an off???On my D4 as well... Only Air, Nitrox, and Free....
