I don't remember ever encountering Customs in DFW last month or IAH in December. Did I space out or what happened to Customs? I had stuff to declare, but never got a chance.

Immigration officer checks your passport and asks if you have anything to declare.

They must still be in the transition process. We arrived Coz this past Monday, Sept. 12. AA passed them out on the plane, when we disembarked at Coz and got into the immigration line, there was a guy about halfway down the line checking everyone's form to make sure it was filled out correctly - and then taking the completed forms from everyone. No idea what he did with the stack, but all we needed at the actual station was our passports.
The main thing is that piece of the form that they (used to?) give you at the immigration kiosk that you (used to?) need in order to leave Mexico.

When I came back through DFW several weeks back I looked into the screen at the GE immigration Kiosk and the screen popped up a message to procced to the officer. I walked over to a short line and the ICE officer had a laptop and he was looking at it and was pointing at individuals in the line, not necessarily in order, and he would tell them they could proceed. I was in line for about 10 seconds when he cleared me and then went down stairs and out to the street. Never any customs questions or statements. My passport was never examined or checked, it was all pure biometric facial recognition. Same as at the boarding gate leaving DFW, facial recognition only no boarding pass, they just wanted to see a passport in your hand for entry on the other end.

No more. One less thing to lose.

Efficient but a little Big Brother-ish scary...

Has anyone done the customs form online where you get a QR code and present that at Cozumel?

I've done the customs form online for the past 5 years, except for the last trip. I don't recall offhand any QR code.

I don't remember a QR code either.
You can get a QR code on a paper to printout by completing Mexican Customs at Datos de identificación
It will only let you do it for travel up to three days away, but I don't keep a printer at home so have never tried. It's still a paper form, so I do not see an advantage for the traveler.

Does anyone have an update on this for CZM? Is it staying consistent that only the customs "1 form per family" and not the FMM form? Thx
