Flew intoczm yesterday

The thread and the article is about Cancun being one of six airports in a pilot program to eliminate the forms starting Aug 19 so Cozumel experiences have nothing to do with it. Nor do any Cancun experiences before Aug. 19. It would be good to hear about experiences entering CUN after Aug. 19 to see how the actual process compares to the planned process. I still remember CZM requiring me to turn in a health questionnaire three months after it was allegedly no longer required.

Flew into CZM on Saturday and they too have done away with the paper FMM forms. Stamp your passport and go. Still have to do a paper customs form. Line on arrival was out the door, we were last off the plane and there was a SWA plane before ours. I texted our dive op to say we might be a little later than our planned time. We were cleared in 10-15 minutes. Bags were already out, no line at customs, green light and gone in 20 minutes total.

That's an almost unbelievable report. It sounds like they have improved bag handling too. Did they deplane from the front and back? I was all ready to be one of the first off of the plane when I arrived a couple of weeks as I was at the back, but then they didn't open that door so I was almost at the back of the line.

Yes, amazing. I arrived on Saturday August 6 and waited a full hour outside and then in the immigration line. And @ReefHound , it does seem like Cozumel experiences are relevant after all.

Same here, three rows from back. Nope, front deboard only.

Just shows you can't rely on any published statement, since the program only mentioned Cancun not Cozumel. But apparently the date was relevant.

Hate it when that happens.

On the other hand, the overheads for the last several rows were filled with safety equipment and crew luggage so I had to stow our two heavy carryons about row 35. We were in row 38. I was kinda dreading having to fight against the flow to get to them if they did deboard at the rear.

Thanks for the update. Since I've already printed my FMM, I'll bring it along just in case.
