Agreed as well. These posts were exagerated but at least some meant that we are in a way waisting our energy that could be used for bigger things - this is how I understood them.

In the scuba industry we have pretty close contact with the companies and after a couple of posts by piikki two giants made a change. Salvo pulled the pick and Scuba Board the largest and most influential scuba forum in the world made a change to make it easier for people to know they were in the women's views forum so the could formulate a proper response--or flee like the wind if need be. While not solving world hunger and ending war, it makes a little difference to those who view the Salvo site and those who post here.

So after all maybe small but a success. Now let's play....
I love arm wressling but the left one (I'm lefthanded so left hand is much stronger than the right one). Because then sometimes I win....

El, I think you misunderstood the post of mine that was apparently deleted.
I said "I accidently posted in this forum once", this is a very true statement and it was in regards to the new header that is in here now making it easier to know you are in the Women's Views > Non Diving Related forum as opposed to the other Non Diving Related forum. The time I accidently posted in here, was because I thought it was the other forum and not this one.

I am new to this site and had to look at the womens forum. As a woman there are somethings I would prefer to discuss with other women from a modesty/comfort perspective, which is the whole idea of this forum presumably. It is therefore interesting to see the debate raging about men commenting in this forum. It reminds me when a few years ago, I observed some male Navy colleagues taking a huge pile of female magazines e.g. Cosmo/Marine Claire etc on a "lengthy" male only patrol. I asked "why womens magazines?" expecting to see car/football/techno titiles. The answer..."To keep an eye on the enemy". Accidental or not, boys can't resist eavesdropping and commenting on what girls may or may not be discussing.

Wow, haven't you debated and decided if it was a good decision for five years!!!??? I am surprised (I don't know, I haven't been diving that long) About the time to fight it again with new faces, don't you think.
