It is on a long hose configuration! Mine is a 7ft hose primary with bungied alt air on a 22in hose. Allows the buddy in a cave environment to trail the buddy instead of next to them or gives the buddy more room to operate in a rec dive. They take the 7ft hose out of your mouth, you then transfer to the alt air bungied to your neck
