Has anyone flown Aeromexico flt 417 JFK to CUN

When Delta flew from Stewart to Atlanta it was so convienent and worth a bit more to me. I used it quite a few times! We keep hoping the begin that service again. We now fly from one of the 3 NYC airports or from White Plains.

Must be nice, people love Cozumel for the cheaper flights but it just doesn't seem to hold true out of little rock. We want to go in July and prices seem to hold solid at $625 ish per person

You're not shopping on Matrix, or you have specific dates or days of week. I see many flights at $442 each RT, even after rejecting airport changes and overnight plans. Cheaper flights in & out of Cancun are easier to find, and the bag drag is just part of the adventure if you are picky about dates or days.

Yes, those of us flying out of smaller airports subsidize the larger airports all the time. It's Portland, OR for us, and those prices are identical to what we pay +/- $25.00. That holds true for all times of the year, and regardless of how far in advance or how close to departure you shop.

Booking far in advance (10 - 11 months) gives me better times, that's all.

Well, it is over 3700 miles by car, so I think you're getting your money's worth. Booking in advance used to save money, but those days are long gone. Now it just means the airlines are free to cancel your flights and jerk you around on options. I've been planning an August 2017 trip to Yellowstone for 2 years in advance in hopes of good viewing weather for the eclipse, but the airlines won't give us a break on fares. $300+ during the fall, but $800+?! I'm hoping for a break in June or July, but not booking anything that can't be canceled with full refund. My backup plan is to drive to Nebraska, celebrating my birthday on the way back.

If you can fly during the week, I'm seeing $388 on Delta in July. LIT-CUN. If it has to be a Saturday American has $431. I bet they will fall a little more as July gets closer, it's still a bit far out for best prices.

Ok, this is Thursday night and the fares seem up a bit. Tuesday & Wednesday nights seem best for shopping generally.
