First I would just like to reface by saying I am no NetDoc by any stretch of the imagination, so my attempt at this may fall WAY SHORT of his talents.

Secondly, I would just like to extend a warm thanks to the King of Tunes, NetDoc.

The following is my attempt, it is to the ever popular song of Mother In Law, by Herman Hermits as well as an earlier group.

Scuba Diver Joe, Scuba Diver Joe.

The worse dive buddy I know
He worries me so
Everytime we descend below
He goes off and leaves me alone,
How could he be so low

Scuba Diver Joe, Scuba Diver Joe.

One day when we got to our site,
Joe asked if I brought a light.
This has caused some troubles,
Because now we can't blow bubbles.

Scuba Diver Joe, Scuba Diver Joe
My Scuba Diver joe.

SoCalDiver, you did yourself proud, now lets hope JoeWR doesn;t read this thread... :all:

Here is my latest, with apologies to the Man in Black, Johnny Cash, and all those who enjoyed "I Walk the Line"...

I keep a close watch on that guage of mine,
I keep my eyes wide open all the time,
I keep a watch out for the things that bind
because I dive,
I feel alive!

I find neutral bouyancy an easy thing to do,
I wash all my gear when the dive is through,
Yes, I'll admit that I look a fool to you!
Because I dive,
I feel alive!

In daylight or the dark of night,
I find more training helps me do it right!
And it makes it more likely I'll survive!
Because I dive,
I feel alive!

To the Piano Man (Billy Joel) and those who love his "In the Middle of the Night"...

In the middle of the night,
I go diving on the reef!
How the water looks so black!!!
In that ocean so dee-ee-eep!
I keep lookin’ for something,
Something, I don’t quite know!
And you can only see it
With a light down belo-o-ow,
In the middle of the night.

I go diving in the
In the middle of the
I go diving in the
In the middle of the Ni-i-ight

In the middle of the Night…
While we’re cruising the reef
Saw a sand tiger shark
It was lookin’ so neat!
It was huntin’ for foo-oo-ood
And eyeing me!
And I’m trying to stay calm!
Trying not to flee-ee-ee
In the Middle of the night!

I go diving in the
In the middle of the
I go diving in the
In the middle of the Night

Now we’re checkin’ our tables,
Makin’ sure we got ‘em ri-i-ight,
There’s no room for mista-a-akes,
When you’re diving at night!
You can’t see you bubbles,
You can’t tell up from down,
But you still gotta surface,
It’s not good if you drown,
In the middle of the night!

I go diving in the
In the middle of the
I go diving in the
In the middle of the Night

Yay...... Pete's back....... *clap, clap, clap*

NetDoc, I have to agree, a standing "O" for the last 2.

You definitely have too much time on your hands.

Actually, I had one of the BUSIEST weeks of my life this past week. I clocked 92 hours as a Network consultant (does NOT include driving time) and I taught Songs and Skits classes to Cub and Boy Scout Leaders this past Saturday... Who woulda figured that last one, huh? This is actually my third year teaching that class, and it IS my favorite to do. Yes, they have had me teach other classes (mostly on Roundtables) but my heart is with the songs and the skits! Oh, yes, I did reccomend that they come and check out this thread!

:tease:

Sounds like a special "Scouts' Eyes Only" Thread needs to be started featuring Scubababy's 'Tinkle' song.... seeing as that's about all that's appropriate for young 'uns to view as far as song lyrics go on these boards! :p

LOL

They probably would!

Not time for this thread to die just yet.....

"The Clean Song", as sung by The Corsairs
