As others have mentioned, United is in T3. There is a free shuttle between the terminals that runs every 20 minutes (on Mexican time). Taxis will sometimes (often?) try to tell you there is no shuttle and charge an exorbitant fare to go from one terminal to another.

Yup. Just came back from Tulum yesterday . United was T3.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a law that taxi drivers and others could be ticketed for "Lying to Tourists"?
